As expected, Xiaomi presented the Redmi TV during a busy day during which he also launched the Redmi Note 8 and Note 8 Pro as well as the new Redmibook 14.
We are dealing with a television set with a 70-inch diagonal and 4K HDR picture quality. The sound system is Dolby Audio and DTS-HD certified.
As on Xiaomi’s TV Mi, we find the PatchWall OS home interface based on Android TV. The voice assistant is present and can be activated via the microphone of the Bluetooth remote control.

Otherwise, we find the sixth generation image quality engine based on the Amlogic processor (64-bit quad core at 1.5 GHz and a Mali-450 MP3 GPU at 750 MHz.
It is equipped with 2 GB of RAM and 16 GB of storage space and is compatible with Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n/ac dual band (2.4 and 5 GHz) as well as Bluetooth 4.2.
Nothing very original in terms of connectivity, we have three HDMI 2.0 ports, two USB ports, an Ethernet port, an optical output, an AV input and an antenna socket.
The Redmi TV is available for pre-order in China for 3799 yuan, or about 480 euros after conversion.
For the moment, the brand has not communicated on a possible future availability in other regions of the world.
We hope of course for a release in Europe but nothing could be less certain. For example, Xiaomi Mi televisions are not available from us, as the manufacturer simply sells his Mi Box as a TV accessory.
But there is still hope for a change in strategy, as Xiaomi markets an increasingly wide range of products on the old continent.
